Funtingten, Essex, England
With only two
Typhoons serviceable and these being used for "Ops" by
438 & 440 Squadrons, no flying was carried out. At about 1515
hrs. F/O's Scharff & Henderson flew to Redhill in
"Buster" to pick up a Typhoon. W/C Davidson made a demonstration
test of smoke laying on the airfield this afternoon, which seemed
quite successful.
