Prendergast of 430 Squadron arrived in a Mustang to pay us a short
visit. Three new Typhoons came in this afternoon, one for each
squadron. F/O's Mahagon & Rassenti brought two of them down.
The Squadron carried our an Ops trip at 1930 hrs. Ten aircraft
bombed Noball No. 62, East of Abbeville, and direct hits were seen
by F/O's Henderson & Laycock.

Dive
bombing attack on Noball Target No. 62, east of
Abbeville. Dive made from 9,000' to 5,000'. Direct
hits were seen by F/O's Swingler & Laycock, who
were top cover. Plenty of flak thrown at them from Abbeville.
500 lb. bombs were used.
