Hurn
Cloudy all
day. A new Typhoon MN569 was received today. Our Squadron took off
for an operation over Rouen this morning, but due to low cloud
over the target, the aircraft could not bomb the objective.
Consequently the bombs were jettisoned "safe' two minutes
away from the target.
Our Squadron
also participated in a Wing formation practice this afternoon with
438 & 440 Squadrons. The 439 Squadron softball team scored
another victory. This time the victims were 438 Officers, and were
defeated to a tune of 17-8. Those victories are getting to be a
habit with 439 Squadron.
