Hurn
Cloudy in the morning,
continuous and more intensified in the afternoon with intermittent
showers. Ten of our aircraft carried out an operation on a Noball
target near Abbeyville, with 500 lb. bombs. Fortunately, ten
direct hits were scored, making the operation a success. Four of
our aircraft were hit by flak. Earlier in the morning, thirteen of
our aircraft co-operated with the Army on an exercise. The target
given by the Army was in the Selsey Hill area. Tex Henderson
commenced his leave, but stayed in camp quaffing a few quick
beers. The "B" Flight Commander, F/L Johnny Saville made
a come back from his session of leave.

Details
of Sortie or Flight
The
operation was carried out on a Noball target near
Abbeville. The aircraft bombed with 500 Lb. bombs and
scored ten direct hits. Unfortunately four of our
aircraft sustained minor damage as a result of flak.
