Good weather all day. Notification was received 83 Group to the effect that our Squadron is to proceed to 16 A.F.C. at Hutton Granswick. An operation was carried out this afternoon with 440 Squadron with 500 lb. bombs on the Marshalling Yards at Amiens.

Details of Sortie or Flight

Ramrod - Marshalling Yards at Amiens. 439 & 440 Squadrons led by our CO - carried 500 lb bombs. Dive from 11,000' to 7000' - bit of flak around target at 7000'. Bombed up here & landed at Ford with bombs on to refuel. All bombs hit target.
