The weather was only
fair in the morning due to the haze, but improved in the
afternoon. Th Convoy left Lutterworth at 0730 hours and
journeyed up to 1500 hours when it reached Hutton Cranswick. The
trip was quite uneventful. All the fellows enjoyed getting away
from the Airfield for a change of atmosphere. Twelve Typhoons
were flown direct from 143 Airfield to 16 APC Hutton Cranswick
today. They took off from 143 Airfield at 1130 hrs. and
landed at 16 APC at 1255 hrs. No other flying carried out for
the remainder of the day.
