Hurn
Scattered clouds with a
light breeze all day. Six of our pilots were on readiness from
0530 hrs. until 2300 hrs. Operations were carried out over the
Cape de la Hague in the afternoon when eight of our aircraft
escorted 182 R.P. Squadron to the target, where they went in
first and straffed the radar installations. Later on in the
afternoon, we provided an anti-flak escort for 175 R.P. Squadron
on an operation at Cape Antifer near Fecamp. Light flak was
encountered which caused little damage to F/O Stetler's
aircraft.

of Sortie or Flight
Our
aircraft provided an escort for 182 Squadron which
carried Rocket projectiles. The target was a Radar
Installation at Cape de la Hague. There was very
little flak which did not damage our aircraft. our
aircraft straffed the target.

Details
of Sortie or Flight
The
target was a radar Installation at Cape Antifer near
Fecamp and we provided an Anti-Flak escort for 175 R.P.
Squadron. Our aircraft landed at Holmsley South at
18:05 hrs. where our crews were briefed and they took
off from there at 19:20 hrs. landing at base 20:30
hrs. The target was believed destroyed. There was a
lot of light flak only causing little damage to F/O Stetler's aircraft. We went into the target first and
straffed the flak positions.
