Lantheuil
Low
and heavy cloud all day with rain at approximately 1800 hours.
Due to the inclement weather and wet runways, our Squadron did
not carry out any operations. The groundcrew put the finishing
touches to the camouflage at their sleeping and working site.
The pilots having completed theirs, occupied themselves with
letter writing, playing cards, and some hitch-hiked to Bayeux.
There was a terrific barrage from our Ack-Ack in the wee hours
of the morning as some enemy aircraft flew low and over our
territory.
