Cloudy
all day. Our Squadron was released from operations for the day.
The airman were not so fortunate, they had a little work to do
on the
"Typhies". This is due to explosions caused to
aircraft on operations and the authorities are trying to determine
the cause. However, a check was made of all our aircraft for
short circuits, oxygen and petrol leaks and a modification was
made by plugging the jettison supply line in the inboard bays,
removed the lag from the inboard bays to reduce any possibility
of petrol accumulating.
