Four pilots led by F/L Fiset took-off on a weather recce. The route covered was from base to Antwerp and then north -east to the Tilburg area and back. The recce was uneventful, no movement being seen or enemy opposition met. Incidentally, this was F/O Cote's initiation into operations.

Weather Recce 13:35 14:55

Details of Sortie or Flight

Four aircraft led by F/L Burton took-off on a weather recce over enemy territory. During the recce, they found four trucks on the Airfield at Tilburg and damaged them all. Further on, they discovered more enemy vehicles on the road running north from Breda and here they claimed two flamers and a smoker. Thus a very fruitful weather recce was completed, all aircraft returning safely.
