Heavy
fog and low cloud all day with spasmodic spells of precipitation,
consequently no operations. But we did see quite a display when
Dakotas, Liberators, and Sterlings were trying to find the runway.
Flying Control released a continuous barrage of flares and joined the
crews in muttering prayers. Fortunately all aircraft were safely
guided in.
