October 1944
B-78
Holland
A
complete overcast all day with a discouraging haze and cool breeze
that forebodes a precipitation. No operations today, so that the total
extent of Squadron activities was confined to horshoe pitching and
running up noisy Typhies. The end of the month creeps forward again
bringing thoughts of returns again. A general tightening up of
discipline is taking place following a pep talk with all the section
Heads by the Airfield Commander. S/L K.J. Fiset, DFC, our Squadron
Commander, gave all the squadron a pep talk on this subject and both
the Engineering Officer and adjutant alternate at morning inspections
of the airmen.
