Ayrshire, Scotland
No
flying this morning. Lecture by Army Liaison Officer on
conditions we will encounter when our Airfield goes under
canvas. This afternoon we flew a total of 27 hours and 50
minutes. We tried out our first Squadron Formation, which
proved to be very successful. F/O's Johns and Monson returned
by rail this evening from Acklington. The four remaining
pilot's will be flying back as soon as the weather permits.
Each pilot only fired 8 rockets, as the weather was very bad
during their whole stay.
Total
flying time for month: 251 hours 50 minutes.
