Holland
Heavy
cloud and ground haze in the morning accompanied by frost. In the
afternoon, down came the rain in torrents which fell unrelentlessly
during the day and night. The Adjutant's tent was submerged in about 2
inches of water. To top it all, the power tender had been taken away
to the Maintenance Section (priority) as theirs was unserviceable. But
the Orderly Room Cpl Singeman, is fighting hard with his paper war in
spite of lack of light. Big pools of water are everywhere in our
dispersal. No flying was done except for one A & E test. Two new
pilots were posted in from 83 GSU and arrived at lunch time from the
United Kingdom by Anson; they are J.17058 F/O L.C. Shaver and J.37114
F/O S. Angelini. the former is now on his second tour, having
completed his first with 112 Squadron in Africa.
