Flight
Lieutenant T.A. Dadson (J14313) and Flying Officer P.J. Elfner
(J22281) chosen to attend Exercises "Crown" and
"Anchor" at Moray firth.
This
afternoon F/L McAvity, Saville, Pollock and Dadson and F/O
Scharff and MacDonald got away solo in the Typhoon. They are the
first of our pilots to be checked out, and the rest of the
pilots are waiting anxiously. S/L Smith, F/O Dixon, Allen and
Smith returned by air from Acklington, even though only eight
rockets were fired by each pilot, they got a very good idea in
the use of R.P. ( Rocket Projectiles).
