Cloudy
all day with no rain, also no operations except for one weather recce.
Our Squadron was dragged out of the mire and move(d) to another sight
where the aircraft are parked near hardstandings. The pilots' and
office tents were also moved to the new site. W/O I Stan Church
finally came back from the United Kingdom with a Typhoon after
spending several days waiting for the weather to clear up. C.22655 F/L
R.C. Crosby has been posted from 438 Squadron to ours and is filling
the "B" Flight Commander's post. J.37846 F/O Johnny Carr is
reposted to the "A" Flight Commander's post and promoted to
Acting Flight Lieutenant. Postings also came in for J.21119 A/F/L J.E.
Hogg & J.22462 F/O N.H. Rassenti who have finished their first
tour of operations.

of Sortie or Flight
F/O
Johnny Stitt with P/O Derouin as his number two, took-off to do
a weather recce. They made track towards the target area
flying in the general direction of Wesel, Germany. They found
heavy cloud over the entire area and returned to base just after
crossing the Rhine.
