Ayr, Ayrshire, Scotland
This
afternoon all pilots were issued with Camp Kits, which we hope
to be making use of in the very near future. This evening at
approximately 20:45 hours, Typhoon aircraft 213 caught on fire,
and was not extinguished until two hours later. The cause has
not, as yet, been established. The four cannon were loaded &
kept going off for at least 45 mins. The aircraft is a complete
write-off, which leaves us with only 5 Typhoons.
