Flying
as usual today. To-night we had our first Squadron Party since
arriving overseas. On our way to Dalrymple to the Kirkland Inn,
our truck was side-swiped by a bus. F/O Laycock, Hewson and
Thomas were injured. Maurice is in the hospital with an injured
back. Hewey and Frank are pretty badly bruised up and will be
grounded for several days. Air Commodore Cochrane, Senior
chaplain of the RCAF and W/C Hillock, C.O. of 143 Airfield, also
attended the gathering of wild boisterous pilots.
