Limited
flying carried out by Hurricanes in the morning - mostly low
level cross country's. 10 of our Typhoons carried out an
uneventful sweep over the Cherbourg area. Those taking part in
the sweep for the first time were F/O Clarke, F/L Dadson, F/O
Porritt, F/O Hewson and F/O Ross. Wing Commander Davidson lead
the Squadron with S/L Norsworthy as leader of Blue Flight. This
show, as was the first, proved to be a peacetime sight seeing
tour over a supposedly hot flak area.
