Funtingten, Essex, England
Six
pilots left this morning at 0730 hrs. to spend a day with the
Army around Shereham. They will be given practice driving
vehicles on & off invasion barrages. Should be good
experience. The Squadron almost got away on an Ops trip, but was
cancelled due to adverse weather conditions. Formation Recce's
carried out during the day. F/O Buzz Leigh tested the Airfield's
Auster this afternoon.
