this scene. On a frontage of 124 feet, a Griffon helicopter as centerpiece
flanked on the left by a CF-18 Hornet and a CT-133 T-Bird. In front of the
aircraft, in precedence of order, are all the Canadian provincial and
territorial flags. Moving back, we have the parade area, then the dais
flanked by appropriate flags, VIP seats and the general audience. To the
left of the dais, sits Fang, teeth bared, eyes Tiger bright with pride as
she surveys her Squadron. To the left of Fang, her Flag hangs proudly from
its staff. Behind and centre to the dais, floats the Flag of the Governor
General of Canada.
Sgt
Jacques Gionet and a half dozen volunteer assistants from our sister
squadron, the 433 Porcupines, ably coordinate the care and seating of
spectators and VIPs. It is now 0825 and the MC, Capt Ryan O'Neill prepares
the audience on the protocol to follow during salutes, the benediction of
the Standard and the arrival/departure of the dignitaries as well as the
significance of the days events
