The
parade was handed over to the CO Major Pierre Saucier at 0845 and on his
command, the old Standard was marched on.
Here
again, precedent was established, as a single Colour (Standard) is
normally paraded under the command of the Standard Bearer with the
Colour Party being made up of the Standard Bearer and two senior NCO's
as escorts.

Instead,
the Colour Party is composed of 3 officers and two SNCO's. and was
commanded by Capt Joel Roy as the Senior Colour Officer. Under his command
is Lt Claude Gagnon, the Junior Colour Officer, with Sgts Pierre Gauthier
and Marc Lessard acting as the Colour Guard. Tradition dictates that the
position of the Standard Bearer falls to the youngest officer in the unit,
who in this case happens to be Lt Jeannoit Boucher.
