Captain Alexe Stienborn Ivan Andree

    Born October 3, 1942 in Regina, Saskatchewan,  Captain         Alexe Stienborn Ivan Andree was the  
    Son of Hazel May (nee Berkey) and the late Alfons Andree     of Regina, Saskatchewan and husband of Mary Ann(nee         Jennings) and father of Christopher of Regina,                          Saskatchewan. Brother of Alan, Burk, and Judith.

    He enlistment in the RCAF on January 11, 1961 Centralia, 
    Ontario.
    Citation(s):  Special Service Medal with NATO Bar




While stationed at Lahr, Germany, Captain A.S.I. (Al) Andrée was killed on the 25 June 1968.  While on a "Papa Yankee" in North-East Germany his aircraft, a Canadian 104 Starfighter tail number 12898 impacted in a valley.

Location: Choloy is a village and commune in the Department of the Meurthe-et-Moselle, 28 kilometres west of Nancy and some 5 kilometres west of Toul, a town on the N4 road from Paris to Nancy. The village is south of the River Moselle on the minor road (D11B) from Toul to the neighbouring village of Foug. The CHOLOY WAR CEMETERY is 3 kilometres west of Toul on the north side of the D11B road.
