Captain Scott Melville Ritchie

Born November 17, 1958 Captain Scott Meville Ritchie was the son of David Geore and Elizabeth Jane Ritchie of Ottawa, Ontario. Brother of Deborah, Michael, Joanne and Wendy J. Murphy.
He enlisted June 15, 1977 in Ottawa, Ontario and was posted to 439
Tactical Fighter Squadron in Feb 1981 when the squadron was flying
CF-104 Star Fighters out of Baden Germany.
While
stationed at Lahr, Germany, Captain S.M. Ritchie was killed on the 18
May 1983, while flying a Canadian 104 Starfighter tail number 104813 as
part of an air demonstration air show. He was just 24 years old.
