The Cancer Care Patient Navigator is a free service to help

• you navigate through the maze of information about your cancer, and get answers to your questions and concerns;

• help you prepare for your treatments and visits to your cancer specialists, whether locally in Kentville, or in Halifax;

• provide reading materials, videos, internet sites and / or cancer information lines; and

• inform you of the nearest available support groups and services in your community

Your Cancer Care Patient Navigator works closely with medical staff and your doctor to get answers and help you to get the care you need.

Note that the Cancer Care Patient Navigator does not provide direct  patient care. Should you need any medical services please call your family doctor or go to your local emergency room.
