FAQ's

DISCLAIMER

Applies to all items.

All text required for must be clearly legible, and submitted via email or hard copy.

We will take responsibility for OUR spelling errors but not yours. CHECK your spelling, capitalization AND punctuation as we will engrave the original letter for letter, dot for dot and space for space.

Personalized or inscribed items with spelling errors not of our making are non returnable and non refundable.

We will only replace (not refund) items deemed to be our spelling errors. Request a RMA (Return of Merchandise Authorization). RMA items are shipped at the client's expense, and replacements are shipped at ours.


How do I send you my pictures, artwork or logo?

For faster service you can send us your scanned or digital photo by email to info@we-engrave.ca. Please include your phone number and and mailing address for order confirmation and billing purposes.

For scanned photos, we recommend using an actual size photo with a resolution of at least 300 dpi for the best possible image transfer. The image format should be .jpg .gif .tif .psd or .bmp. Try to use a photo with lots of background with no cropped heads and no background shadows (walls).

Keep in mind, whether digital or print, the higher the quality of the photo the higher the quality of the transfer or engraving.

Can I snail mail a photo to you?

Only if it absolutely necessary. It's better that you scan it at 300 DPI and e-mail it to us. I
f you are sending a printed photo it should be at least 3 x 5 inches for a coaster or mug for example. A mousepad may require a larger print depending on how the photo is to be orientated. Send it INSURED. All original photos will be returned with your order.

Can I have text added ?

Please note the restrictions in the DISCLAIMER above. Where laser engraving is included, some restrictions may apply. For example, for aesthetic reasons, a maximum of 15 characters can be engraved on pen or pencil or other small items. Any more than that and we will have to trade off size and legibility. And the size and type of font will also have an influence on the overall inscription. Of course if you have a a fairly long name, we will do our best to accommodate your requirements. Additional (optional) lines of text start at $1.50 CDN.

Mugs: For a right hander person the a mug picture is normally facing you. For an additional $5.00 text can be added to the opposite side and you may choose any color of text you wish. Or you could add an additional picture to the other side instead of the text. Or you can have a photo stretching from handle to handle (panoramic view). Since most mugs are made for right-handers, please advise us if you want the layout re-arranged for that special left-hander.

Do you do large quantity orders?

We can and will do multiples of the same design or logo within reason at no extra charges

Small and large businesses will be interested to know that we do not charge any set-up fees if you supply your own ready to print artwork and there are no minimum orders. And you don't get dinged because you are a business. Our same fair rate applies whether you are a corporate or a public client.

Please call us so that we can accommodate your needs in a cost effective way.

How fast can I have my order processed?

It depends on the size and complexity of your order. Usual turn-around time is approximately 3-5 business days, subject to the availability of products from our suppliers, or other events beyond our control.

Orders requiring artwork conception or re-design could require 1-3 weeks. Re-orders not requiring new artwork have quicker turnaround times.

Off season orders are processed in 2 to 3 business days. To keep shipping costs (yours) down, local pick-up is welcomed and encouraged.

Out of town orders can be shipped by what-ever means you desire and are willing to pay for. From Canada Post to UPS.

Note: As we have no control over shipping once the item leaves our premises we cannot guarantee on time delivery. However, a tracking number when possible will be provided so at least you can see when it should arrive at destination.

Are there shipping charges?

Shippingcharges are based on the size and weight of the order and handling charges are calculated based on packaging requirements. Give us your Postal Code and we will give you a quote, or you can calculate it from your end using our Postal code B0P 1R0

For local pick-ups there are no shipping charges.

How do I pay for my order ?

Currently we only accept any major credit card through PayPal. You don't have to have a PayPal account to do this. This is for your protection as well as ours.

Local purchasers can pay in cash, interac or credit card if they so wish.

We are a small business so we may request a deposit on overly large or specialty orders.

Be advised that all Canadian federal and provincial sales taxes (GST, PST or HST) are calculated on the total retail value of the order plus shipping and handling charges.

Are there any other Terms and Conditions ?

REFUNDS: As all our merchandise is customized to your specifications, there is are no refunds offered or implied on any and all purchases. Exceptions are listed in the DISCLAIMER above.


Copyright: All logos, designs, insignia, trademarks, etc., shown throughout this website and catalogue are shown for illustration purposes only and are not for resale, nor are they to be construed as product or brand endorsement by or for the trademark owner.

If you send us logos or artwork to engrave, we assume that you have the legal rights to use them. We will assume no responsibility for copyright or trademark infringement.

Set-Up Fee: Normally for most orders there is no set-up fee for customer supplied artwork or logo. In the event that your artwork requires major rendering to be engravable, we may charges a one time set-up fee on the first item only. As long as the artwork form and rendition remain constant for the rest of the order. On very large orders, a set up fee may be charged on the entire order to cover the cost of prepping each item for etching or engraving.

Rights To Promotion: Like anyone else we like to advertise our accomplishments. Therefore unless otherwise informed in writing at the time of the order, we reserve the right to use an image of your finished product(s) as a display or in an ad for promotional purposes.

Pricing: We are at the mercy of our suppliers so prices listed throughout this website are subject to change without notice.
