Well I'm going HOME today, and
God I can't wait. Yesterday, they took a 3rd biopsy from
me, like the 2nd one, it was in
my
pelvis
to
get
my
bone marrow.
The
doctors
were
99%
sure I had a type of bone/blood cancer, and just needed to confirm
it before starting a specific chemo treatment. But now from the
early results, they can't find anything in the sample that looks
like cancer, so everyone here is stumped. Some are thinking
its something else, one even suggested that I don't even have cancer
(I'd really like to know where the 8 billion tumours on my spine
came from in that case) but they all agree for now that its unreasonable
for me to stay here while they test their samples and wait for
the radiation treatments I took to wear off, and then of course
I'll have to come back for more testing, and once they discover
what my primary site is, the chemo starts... but at least I get
a week off, or so...
So I'm sitting here, been up for 26 hours or so, minus
the hour I was down during the biopsy, waiting for the doctors
to come see me and confirm that I can go home, what I need to take
with me (I'm still having trouble with mobility), as wells as medication,
etc... just thought I'd post a quick update for those who were wondering
how things are going... so if all fares well I will be home by
(my guess would be) 4pm, and aside from taking today off to catch
up on my sleep, I would so love to have visitors, so don't be shy,
gimme a call, stop by, I'm not contagious :P
